Once again Xercise4Less proves itself to be, beyond a shadow of a doubt, The Peoples' Gym. Teaming up with St Gemma's Hospice on the 12th of May, the gym played host to this year's Midnight Walk to raise funds for the Hospice.
The walk consists of a sponsored seven or ten mile walk around Leeds.
Walkers were treated to a variety of refreshments before the walk began, plus a selection of stalls including face painting and fancy dress. Additionally to hosting the event, Xercise4Less also donated prizes for the two best costimes, consisting of six months of free gym membership each.
Pre-walk entertainment included break dancers, a group of drummers, a magician and a team from Real Radio. Following these festivities the walkers warmed up with a quick Zumba workout before the race was opened by Rebecca Tomlinson of The Jane Tomlinson's Appeal.
Kerry Jackson, Chief Executive of St. Gemma's Hospice adds: "This was a great opportunity for us to raise awareness of the work we do, getting the Leeds community involved in a fun and active way. We would like to thank Xercise4Less for hosting the event and this year it was bigger than ever."
